Anthropic put a public marketplace in front of Claude on September 27 — more than 2,000 connectors and plugins, plus partner agents you can buy. The operator move is not "install everything." It is pick three that touch real systems, check the auth scopes, and leave the rest closed.
The Signal
Anthropic launched the Claude Marketplace on September 27, 2026. Coverage puts the catalog past 2,000 connectors and plugins from names like Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion, and Salesforce, with partner agents from CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable, and Snowflake, plus consulting partners such as Accenture, BCG, and Deloitte (BleepingComputer, Anthropic connectors directory at anthropic.com/partners/mcp).
What changed for you: discovery is no longer a Slack thread of MCP URLs. There is a storefront. That also means your team can one-click connect tools that read mail, tickets, code, and CRM without a shared install checklist.
What to do this week:
- List every Claude connector / MCP / plugin already live in your workspace (web, desktop, Claude Code).
- Add at most three new Marketplace connectors that touch production systems (repo, calendar, CRM, billing). Skip the rest for 14 days.
- For each add: record who approved it, the OAuth scopes you accepted, and whether write access is on.
- If a connector is "nice to have," leave it unclaimed. Catalog size is not a reason to expand blast radius.
Honesty check: a marketplace does not replace your own auth review. Last issue covered Plugin4Shell on coding-agent plugins. Different bug class, same habit — do not trust a pin or a logo alone. Treat Marketplace "Connect" like granting a third-party app in Google Workspace.

- Export or screenshot your current Claude connectors list (and Claude Code
/plugin/ MCP list if you use them). - Mark each one: production-touching vs toy. Kill or disable the toys you have not used in 30 days.
- Pick three Marketplace adds max for the next two weeks. Write the three names in the same note as your connector list.
- In Cursor (featured on the AI Tools Index): open model settings and write down which model each hot agent route uses. OpenAI has proposed cutting Cursor's OpenAI model supply on November 12, 2026 after the SpaceX close — so know your fallback before mid-November (CNBC, Cursor / SpaceX).
One decision today: name the three connectors you will allow this month. Everything else waits.

Run it on your real list. If the model invents scopes, throw the answer out.

Claude Marketplace lets developers publish MCP connectors and Agent Skills, and lets companies apply to list Claude-powered products. Treat "listed" as discoverable, not pre-audited for your threat model.
Closing the loop
A 2,000-connector catalog is a discovery win and an install trap. Cap new connectors at three, write down scopes, and fix your Cursor model fallback before Nov 12. Marketplace clicks are easier than cleaning up a write-enabled connector later.
